Camacho and Nickeas Join Other B-Mets In Fall League

Eddie Camacho and Mike Nickeas have been added to the roster of the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League joining previously announced trio of Caleb Stewert, Mike Carp and Carlos Muniz (read more).  Tuesday night, the season opener, saw Scorpions take on the Peoria Saguaros.

Carp and Camacho saw action in the Scorpions opener.  Carp started the scoring by hitting a 2-run double in the second inning.  The Scorpions maintained the lead until the 8th inning when Camacho gave up 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and 1 strikeout.  The Scorpions fell 4-3 to Peoria.  The next game for the Scorpions is tonight as the teams square off again.

The Arizona Fall League is a six-team league, owned and operated by the Major League Baseball Clubs.  Teams play six days per week starting on Tuesday, October 9th and conclude with the league championship on Saturday, November 17th.
